Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom Emissary Official Website! This is the home of the Mushroom Kingdom Emissary fangame project. We occasionally post updates here, so check in often. Source code for the game can be found at our SVN Repository here.

That means there is no way I could use it at least in five months.
Fortunately there is good old pyglet and I'm going to use it.

Just a quick note.
My Vala bindings for SFML appear to work fine, so now I'm finally rewriting the game. Nothing big yet, though.

I have bad news. I may have to cancel Mushroom Kingdom Emissary. I just don't have the time or intelligence I thought I had. I have homework constantly, I may get a job this summer, and I can't write a level editor for the life of me. I apologize to everyone, but Mushroom Kingdom Emissary is now discontinued.

Oh boy, here's something we don't see everyday. I needed to make it so that strings = integers. How did I do this? I created a custom class that has all of the object types and numbers built-in. Ffffffff

For the toolkit in the Level Editor, I decided to use wxWidgets. Why? Well, first of all, it's very flexible, and it's open-source. Secondly, I like the naming conventions. They are much better than 99% of other APIs out there.
I laid out the Level Editor like this: Level Viewer that takes up 75% of the screen on the right, Toolbar that takes up 25% of the screen on the right. There is also a menubar. The menubar just lets you save your level. The toolbar lets you choose the next object to place, and whether you are creating or deleting. The Level Viewer allows you to view the Level(duh) and click to create/delete objects. More info coming soon!

There's now a comment counter.
The downloads are still down, though...

Byethost is upgrading their servers, which is causing problems for them. If you notice the website being slow or down, it's Byet's fault, not mine.

Finally found out how to fix the Paypal subscription. No more downtime for us!

Some little things (primarily affecting WebKit users) have been fixed.
Unfortunately the download links are currently down. We recommend to use SVN instead until the problem gets fixed.

The current forums are now shut down. In a few hours, however, a brand new PunBB board will be up.

We are now at Build 7, and have made quite a bit of progress. Next update will be even bigger.

We will be switching forums within the next few weeks. The address (http://forums.mkemissary.info/) will stay intact - the major change is that the new forums will run on PunBB instead of the old TKForum. The current forums will be archived.

Just take a look at the comment form...
It's a little ugly at the moment, but we are still working on it.

I've been tweaking the styles and coding of this site. Now there are different colours for links and text (yay!) and most of the text is now aligned to left so it's easier to read.
<cliché>Enjoy!</cliché>
